The fix was as simple as googling the error and finding out that you need to use the "DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer" from Microsoft. Apparently the game uses something non-standard or a version of DirectX older than 12.
played it on steam deck: it required things to work like "Visual C++" and after that. it worked! it plays well and i liked it. it goes like 60 to 20 fps when there's too many zombies.
It is super good game. I have beaten this super bonus level. Models are very good. It will be very interesting if you add more zombies and plants (Your special zombies and plants, not like in normal PvZ)
This is a bit of a joke, but yeah only the end with a drop from 60fps (my monitor is 59.5hz) to 20-30fps it felt a little harder, the whole thing felt hard at like the last 3/4's of the game but before that it felt like a "medium difficulty"

I would pay for this. Great game I hope you make more levels or something. Had an absolute blast with my friends trying to beat this. If you make more levels I will sign up to a patreon or something idk.
Incredible, it is super balanced and optimized, I understand that the last waves are more demanding due to overpopulation but other than that it is genius
use winetricks. select the wine dir u want to use and install(install windows dll or component) vcrun2022 and dxvk. i already tested it and its working
I don't know why it keeps crashing even when the gameplay isn't lagging. It just creates an error and tells me when I launch the game that I don't have this certain data booster or something like that. Still for a small fangame pretty fun and satisfying.
Fantastic game. Really makes me wish popcap made games like this. I'm not kidding. Great work, if you made more levels for this I would certainly play it.
depends on what type you are talking about(and im tslking about), if their is a 'see more' button, after you click it something should say along the lines of "play anyway"

Hey developer, if you don't know, lower end PC's are using 32bit windows, because usually they have less then 2 GB RAM.
That's not true, almost all low end pc's are now using 64 bit, and it is impossible for a windows 11 laptop to be 32 bit
my pc is 8gb ram 64-bit win11 with ssd. Is that slow?

Yep, can confirm, running it on Crystal Linux, use Bottles, make a gaming bottle and if needed, install vcredist2019
If you added the other types of levels you could probably create the definitive version of Plants vs Zombies but I don't think EA would allow that

download it then go into your files and right click and press desktop shortcut then on the background double click it and i will start

1 critisicm - the peashooter's aim can be a bit off, so having a mode where they auto aim or shoot like the others would be great
if u hover over the pea shooter it tells you to aim at the feet
